Tug Hill doesn't have much vertical. Did you hike that? or was it at Snow Ridge? Looks pretty sweet.

Was the Ridge.....is 2000 vert needed when you can lap that from open till close with no competition

sweet!

ya, you don't need that much vert...I was thinking about where we xc ski...it is pretty flat. Snow Ridge at least has a bit of vert as compared to that. Always wanted to go there. The lake effect machine is on...should be epic there for the next coupla days.

and there are places to hike 400-500' with just as good on the hill.....

Any official snow stats on the Tug Hill area, which is supposed to be perfectly located in terms of lake effect? Or maybe it's not all that much with minimal orographic uplift from the molehills. Does the Ontario lake effect run into the western part of the Adirondacks anywhere with bigger snow totals?

It does run into the W dacks and the areas of Hoffmeister,Piseco and others up toward Speculator along Rte 8 tend to have the same snow pack.
