Vail Resorts comes to Utah

Here is the very similar Denver Post article:

Lease dispute over Utah ski area turns fiery with eviction notice

At this point VR is the ultimate corporate guy in the ski biz. I find the $25M/yr lease for Canyons to be almost certainly wildly overstated. Almost certainly an attempt to make potential lease terms for PCMR so financially un-palatable that Powdr decides it's best to to sell it's improvements and etc... to either Vail or Talisker. I'm sure the fine details of the Vail lease terms will be left out of the lawsuit (since it's not about Canyons), but provide much relief, kickbacks, dispensation, etc... to Vail from the stated $25M number.

Given the $155K/yr terms for Powdr @ PCMR, that place must have been a giant windfall of profitability for them for a very long time. The top guys at Powdr must be very wealthy by now given how they practically starve so many of their other assets combined with a hugely profitable PCMR. All the other resorts for Powdr would have to do is break even and overall they would still be highly profitable in total.

Admin has been very sporadic in news since ~March. Based on one of his offhand comments in a different thread, I am wild guessing that something has changed in his job/work life (new boss, new work rules, etc.. something in that regard).

There have been a multitude of issues since May but daily updates to news will resume momentarily.
