Is Pali closed already despite the ongoing winter weather?

No. In fact they've even kept the hike to chutes via North Pole open up top of the East wall which is quite a surprise. At this point Abasin has ~700 of 900 acres open (the true steeps in Zuma bowl on the backside are what is curently closed. with lower angle stuff in Zuma still open).

With the exception of a few random 2-3 day windows, it's been been a chilly spring in Denver and central mtns. To the point of having snow in Denver earlier this week.

While waiting at SFO for after midnight arrival of my mother-in-law, I heard there was chain control on I-80 and US-50 in the CA Sierra. Two hours later I-80 has no control but US-50 and CA-88 still do. Something may be heading toward UT.

It's already here. Snow line is barely above my house, I'm guessing at 5700' or so. Heading up this morning.

An interesting note, today's snowfall was the latest that measurable snowfall has ever been recorded at the SLC Airport. It smashed the previous record of May 18.

Global Warming Strikes again!!! :-)

Global Warming Strikes again!!!
Mammoth's 3 snowiest Aprils since 1969 are 2006, 2003 and 2010. For Alta since 1967 the last 2 Aprils rank #1 and #2. For May the benchmarks are earlier: 82 inches at A-Basin in 1995 and 96 on Mt. Washington in 1997.

Could be some sort of colder system coming through the Northern Rockies by the end of next weekend, could even be some decent snow at elevation. Right now not thinking much for Utah but there is a slight chance.

according to the latest GFS there could be over an inch of water in the western Uinta Mountains. The bulls eye of greatest precip has been shifting over the past couple of days here is the latest run

Might be time to delay your planned Uintas outing. Not sure that I'd want to be skiing those slopes with an inch of water weight atop the snowpack.

Some more snow in the Wasatch this morning!

Snowbird even got some slush at the base:

It's not just Utah today, either. Here's a web cam shot from the top of the Great Divide chair at Sunshine Village, AB, at 8,900 feet:
