That was my expected answer.
Tony C, it's way above normal temps this week in the west. More like April on some days. Fortunately cooling off in ~3 days with snow in the forecast. Not sure it's going to be enough snow for full refresh though (at least in Colo).
Mammoth Snowman said very specifically that Mammoth was mainly winter snow last weekend (the same one kingslug complained about) with prime windbuff on most of the upper runs.
At any rate this is going to be a deficient ski season for me. No place looks that tempting for a destination trip post Iron Blosam. Certainly not the Alps based on what all of you are posting recently.

Twas the same in Colo last weekend. But no more; warm Tues and now a very warm fri-sun will have skunked a big majority of surfaces. More like spring skiing this weekend (temps into the low 40's at central Colo bases). With what looks like only ~8-12" of new coming up this week - enough to improve things, but prob not enough to make it great.

Not enough energy or time to do usual writeup of Friday at Deer Valley using East Village entrance. All groomers except Daly Bowl and Centennial off Lady Morgan and I got out of that and skied Hillside.
Spent some time on Moutaineer, Carpenter and even skied down and rode Jordanelle gondola once as lower mountain groomed runs seemed better in PM than upper and had less people. East Village/Mayflower be more interesting next year. Shuttle from parking to lift worked well. View from parking lot.
