Anonymous i believe what frank is trying say is that if he can convince 9 of his friends to go ski on a rather small patch of dirty snow which they have to hike to get to, theres a good chance that a heck of a lot more people would be willing to go out and ski in the summer than you may think...

If you can access the card you may be able to recover the pictures using photo recovery software like this

Looks like an awesome trip one of these years i'll get up to mount washington to ski. I was down in sunny florida in disney world last weekend. Big difference.
I was planning to visit clarkson university on saturday and decided to go up a day early for a trip to whiteface on friday. We arrived late thursday night to find very limited snowcover on the ground and light rain. Spent the night in the brookside motor in which was pretty nice and very cheap...
Awesome pics!!!
I was out there last year around christmas but the dive wasn't open yet because their simply wasn't enough snow. Even most of goats eye was closed. I would really like to ski it sometime but who knows when it will be. Sunshine is really an awesome ski area that's like...
I had found this ski area online earilier in the season but had thought it was closed because the information of the website was from 2002. Glad to see it's still alive. Quite a drive for me but definetly a place I would like to ski just to get a chance to enjoy skiing the way it used to be...
Go for it. Theres no one around and conditions are excellent. I was there march 15th last year and enjoyed about 4" of fresh powdery snow in the morning and spring corn by the afternoon. We did find some ice but thats the way it always is at that place. Everything was open and coverage was...
cool thanks. Thats what i was thinking after looking at some topos and other maps of cannon and mittersill just wanted to check. Explorings always fun, but local knowledge can never be beat.
Great pics and report. I read a few other on your site, real good stuff. I was trying to look at mitersill and cannon maps to see if any more terrain on mittersill is skiable without a hike due to the new cannon expansion. Do you have any idea? I'm probably going up in january or february...
The terrain over there and the lack of people because of the T-bar made it the best runs of the day and the best we had at MSA. It's definetly worth a little more work on the uphill for what you get on the downhill. Personally i never want to see MSA change the T-bar to a quad or something...
Yeah it was my first time riding a t-bar. I had ridden platters out at vail but they were basically on the flat, thats the only thing close. The top of the west side T-bar is very steep, i would think a diamond rating if it was a trail. Going up that last stretch i was basically sitting on...
An interesting trip. An entire very lengthy description of the trip can be found at http://www.telemarktalk.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=14264.
**Cliff notes**
-drove up in rain went to french catholic mass
-skiied MSA in spring conditions starting in rain
-skiied Le Massif with...
Thanks for the info. I really wanna go up but i don't think my parents are gonna let me. 9 hours is a long time to drive by yourself and i'm having a hard time talking any of my friends into going. They don't think it's worth it for suck limited conditions, there obviously not as obsessed as...
Hi i live in southeastern PA and am just dieing to get some runs in to start out the season. I was thinking about heading up to Hunter or Bellayre this weekend because i think there the closest mountains to me that should be open this weekend. Just wondering if anyones been to either of these...
