There is a point where being too high profile makes you an inviting target for prosecution, can apply to celebrities as well as politicians.
I'm sympathetic to jimk's view. I think Trump should have been prosecuted for trying to overthrow the 2020 election, but only because the Senate didn't do its job in 2021.

Will Mammoth (and Tahoe) suffer from Trump being elected? Could be behind paywall if you've looked at LA Times lately without subscribing.

Point taken but I don't think Mammoth and Tahoe fall into this category. Mammoth has always felt pretty organic to me. And South Lake Tahoe feels anything but posh.
